Community and good causes

Assemble Media Group has a strategic partnership with the Haven House Children’s Hospice in Woodford Green, Essex raising over £60,000 in three years.

Since 2019, Assemble has held a variety of events and initiatives in support of the hospice, including awards events and a pantomime at the Comedy Store in Leicester Square.

Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill children and their families across North East London and West Essex. Kate Rosenthal, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Haven House, said: “Haven House is delighted to be partnered with Assemble Media Group, which has raised almost £60,000 to date towards the care of our life limited children and families. This is simply outstanding.”

Rosenthal added: “Alongside fundraising support, the team has provided the hospice with pro bono support and advice which is invaluable. This continued support has meant we can provide the vital care so desperately needed by families.”

Tom Broughton, Founder of Assemble said: “As a company based close to the Haven House on Wanstead High Street, we’re incredibly proud of the funds we’ve raised.

“We’re proud too of our long-term partnership supporting Kate and the brilliant, wider team at the Hospice after such a difficult period and we look forward to doing even more next year as the economy continues to recover.”

Assemble Media Group’s Building brand is a long-standing partner with the leading construction industry charity, CRASH, which helps homelessness charities and hospices with construction projects.

As part of this partnership, Building helps to raise money each year as part of CRASH’s annual Dragon Boat challenge. Featuring teams from across the construction industry, the 22 year-old event raises around £20,000.  Building acts as the exclusive media partner, promoting and displaying the event across its channels.

Assemble Media Group proudly supported the Whittington Babies Charity and Building Magazine’s Deputy Editor David Rogers in 2019 – see here.

Assemble raised c.£30,000 in total for Whittington Babies with the charity using the money to purchase a new scanner for premature babies, incubator covers, therapy lights for babies in incubators and music therapy for long term patients.  Tom Broughton, Managing Director of Assemble said: “We were delighted to raise such a large amount of money to support the work of the Whittington Babies. It’s a small charity so it was fantastic to see our fundraising effort make such a big difference. I was very proud of Dave and the team on this achievement.”
