Construction took to the waters of Hackney reservoir for 2023 once again to raise money for CRASH – the organisation helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects.

The afternoon consists of competitive dragon boat racing followed by drinks and a BBQ.

CRASH has been the UK construction industry charity since 1996 and Building, Assemble Media Group’s flagship editorial platform, has been a long-standing media partner of the event for many years.

The AECOM DRAGONS did themselves proud by winning on the racing front with a rapid 51.74 seconds in the final. A special mention also goes to Graham Construction, coming out on top in the fundraising leaderboards. Overall, the teams in attendance raised £17,280, a brilliant effort all-round for a deserving cause.

We hope to see everyone return for another glorious afternoon in 2024!
