CRASH put on another brilliant dragon boat racing event on the Hackney reservoir this year — all in the name of helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects. 

The event consists of intensely competitive races, followed by the chance to relax with drinks and a BBQ. 

The charity has been working with the construction industry for many years to deliver lasting social impact in communities across the UK. Dragon Boat racing is just one of several fundraising activities CRASH run. 

Assemble Media Group’s flagship brand, Building, is proud to be a long-standing media partner of the Dragon boat racing event as part of Assemble’s ongoing support for the wider community.  

Despite Building’s Barracudas performance leaving a lot to be desired, the fundraising total certainly didn’t with over an incredible £18,200 raised. We’d like to congratulate all 36 teams for their efforts in raising a substantial sum for CRASH. A special shoutout to Parkeray’s Penguins, managing to not only win the entire competition, but also come out on top on the fundraising leaderboard! 

We hope to see everyone return to the water next year.
