Assemble Media Group is to launch a new online learning programme for its global community of built environment professionals. The Building Boardroom Academy will have a year-long Digital Construction course series and be delivered in partnership with PlanRadar, a leading digital platform for construction and real estate management.
The Digital Construction course will consist of free-to-access, bite-sized learning modules available online every month, alongside regularly delivering fully CPD accredited learning modules.
The course content is being overseen by leading built environment academic, Rob Garvey, who said he’s “delighted to be working with Building to deliver our first Building Academy course focused on Digital Construction.’’
PlanRadar CEO and Co-Founder, Ibrahim Imam, commented, “PlanRadar is excited to be partnering with Building to launch their first Building Boardroom Learning Academy. From cutting-edge technologies like augmented reality and 3D printing, to Building Information Modelling and project management software, the adoption of digital tools is on the rise everywhere. The future of construction technology is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed. Our new Digital Construction Course will empower professionals across the industry and provide them with the skills and tools they need to complete the next steps of their digitalisation journey.”
Assemble’s Commercial Director Cameron Marshall said the Building Boardroom Academy programme is a major product launch for the group.
“The Academy launch is part of an expansion of the Building Boardroom, reinforcing Building’s position as one of the leading learning resources in the built environment.”
Cameron added that the first digital course will sit within the established Digital Construction programme, which not only includes Building, but Building Design and Housing Today as well. He said: “We already engage with thousands of built environment professionals each month serving them with information, intelligence, news, events, thought leadership and data as part of our Digital Construction Programme. So, to now provide a structured 12 month learning programme with key partners is a natural next step to enhance our offering to the community whilst continuing to provide value for them.”
This course will be the first of several other new courses that will be launched by the Building Boardroom Academy, so the Assemble team welcome applications from potential partners to work on new topic areas.
